Crescendo Concert in Frankfurt

We are proud to announce that our excellent artist professor, Ye-Ree Kim (piano, South-Korea) and one of the most outstanding students János Ripka (cello, Hungary) will deliver a concert.

Cellist János Ripka was born in Budapest, Hungary. He studies cello in Vienna, under Professor Maria Sellner, and he will finish his studies in the next semester. He has been finalist at several international competitions, for example, at the 5th David Popper International Cello Competition in Várpalota, Hungary. He has won different prizes, such as a Crescendo Prize at CSI 2015.

 

Pianist Ye-Ree Kim, born in Seoul, Korea, studied Piano Performance in Seoul and New York, receiving a master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from the Graduate Center of City University of New York. Ye-Ree Kim has played many concerts in Europe, Asia, and the USA, among them at New York’s finest venues, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, and Riverside Church. As a result of her piano performance, she received numerous awards and scholarships. 

Ye-Ree Kim has been teaching as faculty member at several universities (Queens College in New York, Hansei University and Soongsil Conservatory in Seoul, and Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main). In addition, she has been working in several opera productions and has been engaged as faculty at summer music institutions/festivals.
